Frequently Asked Questions
-
What's so great about tube amplifiers? How much time have you got? In a nutshell, music played through vacuum tubes is warm, smooth, enveloping. Closer to the real thing.
-
How much will I have to spend to get going? Is this stuff only for rich people? It's no secret that the stratosphere of high-end audio can get very expensive. What's less well-known is that the wise investment of a few thousand dollars can bring a remarkable amount of musical satisfaction. We're very fortunate to have customers who have enlisted Deja Vu Audio in their pursuit of the audio firmament. But we get just as big a kick (maybe even bigger) out of assembling or upgrading systems for customers on a budget.

How can I hear what something sounds like for myself?Just pay us a visit. We have multiple listening rooms areas outfitted with everything from entry-level gear to our custom components and systems. If you call first, we often can set up the components you'd like to hear in advance.
-
Are kids allowed?Of course, although we'd appreciate your keeping an eye on them. Some pieces (such as phono cartridges and tonearms) are very delicate and some others (amplifiers) can get pretty hot.
-
Do you provide repair services?Yes, we service what we sell. We often can make the repairs or adjustments on site, but we also maintain close working relationships with our manufacturers and distributors. So if there's something we can't fix ourselves, we almost always know someone who can.

I don't see a brand that I'm looking for. Can you help me find it?You can find our featured brands as well as all the brands available through Deja Vu Audio on our Brands page. If we don't carry a brand you're looking for, chances are we have something as good (honestly, probably better) in the same price range.
-
Do you accept trade-ins?In many cases, we're happy to accept trade-ins. It will depend on condition and market demand, of course. But we draw the line at the all-in-one Bombastic Audio system you bought at a big box store. Sorry.
